Maintenance
Carpet (nylon - wool)
- Unpack the carpet immediately after receipt.
- So that your carpets will keep their good looks and shape for longer, they should be cleaned periodically.
- Naturally, lighter coloured carpets should be cleaned more often than darker coloured ones.
- During the first few weeks of use, pilling or a light surface fuzz may form.
- This phenomenon is a typical characteristic of the product’s production process and should not to be considered a defect.
- This can be fixed quickly and, as such, you need only clean the carpet with a brush, using smooth strokes in the direction of the pile.
- Dirt and loose dust accumulated in the carpet may damage the fibres over time. As such, we recommend regular and careful vacuuming.
- Warning! Do not to use brushes with sharp edges that could damage the carpet, or rotating brushes, which could pull the fibers out by mechanical action. This method of cleaning is the easiest, most economical and most beneficial to the environment.
- In any case, it has to be pointed out that the materials, even if adequately lightfast to sunlight and artificial light, may be subject to alterations over time due to prolonged exposure to light, washing and ordinary mechanical wear.
- For the effects caused by direct sunlight and normal wear and tear of your carpet to be the same all over its surface, we recommend turning the carpet regularly.
- Packaging sizes may vary by up to 3% compared to those shown in the price list.
- Steam cleaning or any other method involving a substantial increase in the levels of humidity of the carpet are not recommended.
- A carpet should never be completely soaked in water.
- For correct and thorough cleaning, use a company specialising in dry cleaning.
- Stains are more easily removed if they have not been fully absorbed by the carpet fibres.
- The liquid should be absorbed by a cloth and any solid components of the stain should be removed with a spoon or a knife, scraping the surface carefully so as not to damage the fibres.
- Never use a circular motion for scrubbing given that this damages the fibres and spreads the dirt.
- Instead, scrub gently from the outside of the stain to the middle.
- There are do-it-yourself cleaning methods which have shown good results.
- However, care must be taken when using these methods, given that the result depends on how the cleaning is done.
- As such, we recommend that for stubborn stains, you use specialised, professional cleaning services.
- Alcohol, beer and glue: solution of 5% vinegar, 20% shampoo, 75% water, apply gently.
- Coffee, tea: solution of 10% ammonia, 20% shampoo and 70% water, apply gently.

- Sauces and oil: water and alcohol. If necessary, apply a solution of 5% vinegar, 20% shampoo, 75% water afterwards.

- Butter: put a cloth on top of the stain to absorb the butter and iron on top of the cloth (temperature less than 100 ˚C). Afterwards, apply a solution of 5% vinegar, 20% shampoo and 75% water.
- Egg: shampoo, cold water, vinegar or ammonia (5%).
- Urine: lukewarm water, detergent and vinegar, scrub gently.
