    Warnings
    • Keep for reference: read carefully.
    • Always remember to be careful not to use the product improperly, considering its designated functions.
    • When the product is no longer used, do not abandon it, but take it to a suitable public waste collection facility.
    • The technological difference between wood and other materials is that woods are rich in water. Wood is therefore a hygroscopic material that is subject to water exchange with the external environment, which can cause dimensional variations and shrinkage cracks on a macroscopic level, inside a certain interval of possible humidity levels. The phenomenon of shrinkage in solid wood is inevitable because direct exposure to sun and air causes the wood to dry out naturally. Shrinkage cracks are therefore to be considered a physiological phenomenon and not proof of low quality of the material or of the presence of defects.

    Maintenance
Cover (Alfa, Beta, Gamma, Koto leather)
    • For regular cleaning, we recommend a weekly dusting with a soft cotton cloth. If the cover is stained, promptly remove the cause and dry the affected area.
    • Finally, wipe with a sponge dampened with water and mild detergent (or water and milk).
    • Wipe with a gentle circular motion and work from the outside of the stain toward the inside.
    • The action should be more like a skin massage than mechanical rubbing.
    • Before applying any product over broad areas, it is advisable to test the effectiveness of the procedure by applying the product on a small, hidden area, even though the product may be specifically designed for the material.
    • After cleaning, apply a solution of water and milk to restore the protective qualities and softness of the leather.
    • Remember that leather treated with aniline is highly absorbent and may require more frequent cleaning when subjected to heavy-duty use in high-traffic areas.
    • Two or three times a year, we recommend applying products included in the 'Kit for leather maintenance and cleaning' by B&B Italia (code SETPN) using a soft cloth. The kit is available from our Stores and dealers.

    Cover (Kasia leather)
    • Regularly clean with a soft, dry cotton cloth to release the dust from the pores. Avoid strenuous rubbing.
    • If the cover is stained, immediately pat the stain with a paper towel or dry cloth. Try to absorb the stain without vigorous rubbing.
    • Never apply a liquid on this leather - not even detergent specially designed for cleaning it.
    • For further information on Kasia leather, kindly read the attached brochure.

    Wood - Painting
    • For weekly maintenance, dust the surface with a dry cloth.
    • For dried dirt, use a well-squeezed out cloth, damp with warm water.
    • For greasy or oily dirt, use a damp sponge and dish washing detergent, and then wipe with a well-squeezed out cloth damp with warm water.
    • Warning! Apply the detergent directly on the damp sponge, and never on directly on the furniture.
    • Do not exert excessive pressure and always follow the grain on wood furniture.
    • Note that if you press or rub too hard, surfaces can become 'polished'.
    • Avoid using abrasives and products containing solvents, ammonia and/or alcohol.
    • Make sure to dry the surfaces completely after washing.
    Warranty
B&B Italia guarantees the cover, the feet, the materials, accessories and mechanisms making up the product for 26 months from the date of manufacture (as stated on the "Product data sheet - Guarantee") against any manufacturing defect including lacquering and frame of non-upholstery products. In any case, it has to be pointed out that the materials, even if adequately lightfast to sunlight and artificial light, may be subject to alterations over time due to prolonged exposure to light, washing and ordinary mechanical wear.   The guarantee refers to original product manufacturing defects and consists of replacement or repair, free of charge, of the unusable or defective parts, ascertained and acknowledged as such by B&B Italia or its representative.
